Job Summary
DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure in AWS (EKS) and on-prem environments. Responsibilities include deploying containerized apps with Kubernetes, implementing IaC with Terraform and Ansible, monitoring Linux systems, integrating CI/CD with Git, Flux, and Jenkins, and enabling edge-computing deployments. Requires hands-on AWS experience, Linux troubleshooting, scripting in Python/Bash/Go, Docker/Kubernetes expertise, Terraform/Ansible knowledge, and Agile work practices. Must obtain Security+ within 60 days and hold US citizenship with an active Secret clearance (TS/SCI or TS/SCI with CI Poly accepted). Role is on-site 4-5 days per week in Columbia, MD; Augusta, GA; or San Antonio, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Mid-level: 3-8 years of relevant experience
- Senior-level: 9-13 years of relevant experience
- SME-level: 14+ years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda)
- Proficient in Linux administration
- Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC/configuration management tools
- Git, Flux, Jenkins for CI/CD
- Agile experience (JIRA, Confluence)
- Ability to obtain Security+ within 60 days of hire
- US citizenship and active Secret clearance (TS/SCI or TS/SCI with CI Poly also accepted)
- On-site 4-5 days per week; customer-needs alignment
