DevOps Engineer - SQL+Automation

Job Summary
DevOps Engineer role focused on automating large-scale deployments and SQL performance tuning. Responsibilities include building and maintaining Ansible automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and integrating security controls, while serving as an SQL SME for performance, data modeling, and automated DB tasks in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments; collaboration across architecture, security, and delivery teams with a emphasis on reusable templates, documentation, and mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on expertise in Ansible (playbooks, roles, inventories, AAP/Tower, Ansible Galaxy)
- Solid experience with CI/CD tools (VS Code, Ansible, Azure DevOps)
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Powershell, Bash, YAML
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows administration and server hardening
- Expert-level SQL skills: Query tuning, Index optimization, Stored procedures & triggers, Data architecture fundamentals, Cross-platform (PostgreSQL, SQL Server preferred)
- Experience with IaC tools (Ansible, VS Code) is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs
- Experience Requirements 5–9 years of total experience for L3/L4 levels
- Proven experience in automation engineering, DevOps practices, and SQL tuning
- Exposure to enterprise-scale environments, multi-team collaboration, and production-grade automation
- Preferred Skills: Red Hat Ansible Automation Certification, Azure DevOps Certifications, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) certification, SQL database certifications (Microsoft, PostgreSQL)
