Job Summary
Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters across AWS, Azure, and GCP, deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting stateful and stateless workloads including NGINX, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and Hadoop. Configure infrastructure as code using Helm, Terraform, and Ansible while provisioning environments for on-premises customer deployments. Automate CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions or Jenkins and ensure database performance through regular backups, tuning, and monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch. Script automation tasks in Bash, Node.js, or Python. This role supports Simbian's early-stage growth with competitive equity and performance bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in managing Kubernetes clusters

- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud providers
- Deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot workloads in Kubernetes (stateful and stateless)
- Handle deployments of tools and applications such as NGINX, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, OpenCTI, OpenSearch, Kafka, Hadoop, Fluentd, etc.
- Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, etc.)
- Manage and maintain SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, on Kubernetes or virtual machines
- Perform regular backups, tuning, and monitoring for database performance and availability
- Proficient in Helm – create, install, upgrade, and manage Helm charts
- Familiar with Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and configuration management
- Understanding of using Ansible with AWS/Azure
- Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos for metrics
- Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch for logging (or equivalent open source tools)
- Proficiency in Node.js or Python for automation and scripting tasks
- Strong in Bash scripting – able to write automation scripts using loops, conditionals, etc.
- Experience in on-premises deployments for customer environments
- Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and cloud fundamentals
- Comfortable interacting with customers, understanding requirements, and taking full ownership of deployments
