DevOps Engineer - Midnight Foundation

Job Summary
The DevOps Engineer will ensure the availability of services targeting 99.99% system uptime for critical blockchain infrastructure, develop and maintain tools for managing multi-cloud and bare metal environments, and actively troubleshoot issues during testing and deployment. The role requires building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, participating in on-call rotations for incident response, and managing the transition to a decentralized validator network. Key skills include proficiency in Linux, container orchestration using Kubernetes, real-time monitoring with Grafana/Prometheus, technical scripting with Rust, Go, and Python, and extensive experience with AWS and GitHub Actions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in a DevOps/SRE role
- Strong experience with Linux-based systems and administration
- Working knowledge of container environments and Kubernetes orchestration
- Proficient with Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools for real-time monitoring
- Expert in shell scripting, with knowledge of systems languages, Rust, Go and Python
- Extensive experience configuring, scaling, monitoring, and tuning services in AWS/GC
- Proven ability to write clear operational designs and blameless post-mortems
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools, like Jenkins, GitHub Actions
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience running and maintaining Cardano stake pools or partner chain nodes
- Experience with tools like GitOps workflows and Nix for reproducible builds
