Job Summary
DevOps Engineer with expertise in Git and platform architecture, automation, and cloud infrastructure. Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows environments, Agile methodologies, and deploying/optimizing complex systems. Responsibilities include supporting the development lifecycle, building release pipelines, automating deployments, and maintaining infrastructure and web-service deployments. Proficient in scripting and automation tooling; familiar with Puppet/Ansible, Confluence/Jira, and cloud-based deployments. Target candidate has 8+ years of technical DevOps experience, strong Git fluency, and a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Masters Degree in Engineering (e.g., Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace) or Computer Science and 8 years technical experience
- Fluent with Git and version control best practices
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL 6/7/8, RHCSA/RHCE, CentOS) and Windows system administration
- Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment (preferred)
- Expertise with caching technologies (e.g., Memcache, Redis) and databases (MySQL, Elasticsearch)
- Familiarity with security practices, networking protocols, firewalls, and PCI compliance
- Experience with Agile development environments and AWS cloud or virtualized servers in PaaS environments
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Ruby, C/C++, Go, Python, or Java)
- Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
