DevOps Engineer III

Job Summary
The Development Engineer III designs, develops, launches, and supports our corporate DevOps pipeline operations. The incumbent will facilitate automation of internal software deployment via CI/CD best practices, working directly with multiple software development groups across the company as our subject matter expert. Responsibilities include administering and maintaining GitLab, delivering DevOps pipeline operations for automated software releases, creating and maintaining Docker images and containers, identifying and automating manual processes, enhancing build infrastructure and DevOps processes, using tools like JIRA and SharePoint, developing and maintaining software installation tools and deployment processes, creating DevOps processes and policies, reusing code across programs, delivering work on time, mentoring stakeholders, and solving significant, unique issues with independent methods. Requires frequent engagement with stakeholders and senior leadership, strong communication skills, and ITAR/EAR compliance awareness. Travel within the Continental U.S. may be required. Primarily office-based in Melbourne, FL or Simi Valley, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum 5 years of work experience managing diverse DevOps operations and tools (e.g., GitLab, GitHub) including branching, tagging, merging and release management oversight
- Minimum 1 year of experience with containerization (Docker or ECS), orchestration, service discovery on Windows and Linux hosts
