Job Summary
Hands-on DevOps Engineer II responsible for owning and optimizing the software delivery lifecycle from code commit to production deployment. Core duties include maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing release processes, monitoring production systems, and ensuring reliability, security, and scalability of cloud-connected platforms. Works with software, hardware, and product teams to build automated, observable, and resilient deployment environments for distributed solar and energy storage technologies; focuses on cloud infrastructure, release engineering, automation, and operational excellence; emphasizes IaC (Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi, etc.), observability, and security best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms
- Strong proficiency with Git workflows and release management practices
- Experience deploying and supporting cloud-native applications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, Load Balancers, and IAM
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi, or Ansible
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or another scripting language
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and root-cause analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
