Job Summary
Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes for software releases. Establish end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to track system performance, uptime, and incident response for mission-critical systems in Microsoft Azure. Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform and ARM templates, optimizing VMs, containers, and databases for performance, cost, and security. Develop automation scripts in Shell, PowerShell, or Python to streamline configuration management and eliminate manual operational tasks. Integrate security best practices into pipelines and cloud operations, managing secrets, access control, and conducting regular vulnerability assessments. Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, training sessions, and knowledge sharing to foster a culture of continuous improvement and DevOps excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in a DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering role
- strong track record of managing production-grade CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
- Expertise in source control and CI/CD platforms, especially GitLab and GitHub
- Hands-on experience with additional CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- In-depth practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and resources
- Ability to design and operate solutions using Azure infrastructure (compute, storage, networking)
- Strong experience writing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code templates/scripts (e.g. Terraform, Azure Resource Manager templates)
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies – particularly Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid programming/scripting skills in at least one language (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/Elastic Stack and Datadog)
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls)
- cloud security practices (identity and access management, secret management, vulnerability scanning)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Fluent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when troubleshooting high-stakes issues in live environments
- A proactive leader who takes ownership of initiatives
- Capable of mentoring junior engineers
- Delhi NCR, India – Hybrid (combination of remote and on-site work)
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Professional certifications that demonstrate DevOps and cloud expertise
- Examples include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer Certification or related credentials
