Job Summary
DevOps Engineer for NYCDSS ITS tasked with designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), and automation using Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, Route53, VPC, CodeDeploy). Responsibilities include creating design specifications for container environments, writing Ansible playbooks, deploying to cloud and on-premises environments, and developing observability with Splunk and AppDynamics. Maintain Linux and container environments, integrate with Jenkins for CD, and build scalable infrastructure with OpenShift/Kubernetes and related tools; strong emphasis on system design, security considerations, and automation across the deployment lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in computer science, engineering or related field
- four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, or equivalent
- or eight years of experience in lieu of degree
- equivalent combination of education/experience
