Job Summary
DevOps Engineer to own Azure infrastructure, automation, and cloud operations in a lean, hands-on team. The role spans expanding cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, driving Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/Ansible, creating scalable automation, supporting containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes), and contributing across systems, networking, and security initiatives. The position involves infrastructure modernization, resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts, with high visibility and broad technical ownership. Onsite five days a week during the first 90 days, transitioning to a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) thereafter in Arlington, VA.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Systems Administration, or related technical role
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure environments
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible
- Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, identity management, cloud operations, and systems administration principles
- Experience supporting Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and related enterprise technologies
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple platforms
- Ability to operate independently while contributing within a highly collaborative, hands-on technical environment
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400 (preferred)
- Python scripting experience (preferred)
- Experience supporting VDI and virtualization technologies (preferred)
- Experience with infrastructure security, hardening, and vulnerability remediation initiatives (preferred)
- Experience working within a small-to-medium sized organization where engineers maintain broad technical ownership (preferred)
