Job Summary
Design, build, and operate Azure cloud environments across development, test, and production while developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and embed DevSecOps practices, including security controls, scanning, and governance. Automate infrastructure and application delivery, and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure-native tools. Support incident response, problem management, and root cause analysis while collaborating with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to improve platform maturity. Participate in an on-call support rotation to support critical services. Based in Perth, Sydney, or Melbourne, this role drives automation and standardisation across the technology lifecycle within a global environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience working in Azure / Microsoft cloud environments or Systems Engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
- Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, identity, and security
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including security scanning and governance
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights)
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST, ISO, CIS)
- Exposure to cloud security, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders
- Based in Perth, Sydney, or Melbourne
