Job Summary
DevOps Engineer at RenXTech in McLean, VA. Responsibilities include working in a fast-paced, agile software development environment on projects that automate processing of large forensic images, extract and enrich metadata, and present information for analysts. Requires experience deploying and managing data platform components (Spark, Trino, Ranger, Iceberg, Superset or data catalogs), data lakehouse architectures, secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager/Parameter Store), disaster recovery and continuity planning, API gateways and modern microservices, AWS cost optimization, AI/ML workloads/model serving, mentoring on DevOps/cloud best practices, NoSQL databases (DynamoDB/MongoDB), monitoring tools (Grafana/ELK), and integrating enterprise services; strong communication skills. Solutions are cloud-based, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver impactful projects is emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience deploying and managing data platform components: Apache Spark, Trino, Apache Ranger, Apache Iceberg, Apache Superset, or data catalogs.
- Demonstrated experience with data lakehouse architectures and supporting infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience with secrets management solutions such as AWS Secrets Manager or Parameter Store.
- Demonstrated experience with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and continuity planning.
- Demonstrated experience or familiarity with API gateways and modern microservices patterns.
- Demonstrated experience with cost optimization practices in AWS.
- Demonstrated experience or background deploying and supporting AI/ML workloads or model serving infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring team members on DevOps and cloud best practices.
- Demonstrated experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with additional monitoring tools such as Grafana or ELK stack.
- Demonstrating experience integrating Sponsor’s Enterprise services.
- Demonstrated experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
