Job Summary
Design and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Terraform or CloudFormation, and build CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment. Manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes while implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. Ensure system reliability by leading incident response and post-mortems, and enforce security controls including IAM and secrets management. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and manage environment configuration and documentation. Complete an interview with the recruiting team to join the vetted talent network and be considered for current and future opportunities with global partners.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, or Go)
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional environment for team calls
- Availability to work US time zones
- Comfortable working as an independent contractor
Desired Qualifications
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional, or Azure Administrator
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd
- Knowledge of GitOps workflows such as ArgoCD or Flux
- Experience with database management and scaling in cloud environments
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
- Experience in a high-availability, high-traffic production environment
