Job Summary
The Device Tech role supports the implantable device program by clinically and administratively handling device interrogations, on-site and remote data submission, and database maintenance. Responsibilities include rooming patients and intake documentation, independently interrogating devices, reprogramming under physician/NP/PA supervision, updating patient/device information, monitoring enrolled patients, overseeing remote monitoring, providing clinical support during interrogations and reprogramming, and educating fellows, NP/PAs, and staff on implantable devices and arrhythmia management. The role also participates in ongoing research and maintains device-related databases.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- One (1) year experience in cardiology, either in a clinic or hospital setting
- Minimum of one (1) current/valid certification from the following list: Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification within 4 years of hire
- Certified Rhythm Analysis Tech (CRAT) credential/certification required within 2 years of hire
