Job Summary
Hands-on Semiconductor Process Engineer in a cleanroom environment focused on running end-to-end fabrication steps for vertical GaN devices. You will work closely with the fabrication team, receive training across steps, and share responsibility for device fabrication from start to finish with other engineers. The role requires flexibility to accommodate early mornings, late evenings, and weekend coverage. Responsibilities include executing process recipes, reducing cycle time through efficient tool scheduling, performing inspections, substrate preparation and wafer dicing, maintaining precise process records, coordinating tool reservations, and contributing to process improvements. Nice-to-have experience includes GaN/SiC processing, device characterization, wafer handling, and yield improvement work.
Required Qualifications
- B.S., M.S., or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Prior hands-on cleanroom experience
- Familiarity with photolithography, deposition, wet and dry etching techniques, and metallization
- Comfortable operating and following detailed standard operating procedures for sensitive cleanroom equipment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes some early mornings and/or late evenings to support cleanroom coverage
- Strong attention to detail and disciplined record-keeping
- Collaborative, hands-on mentality and ability to learn quickly in a startup environment
