Job Summary
Device Engineer role leading early device development activities from concept through feasibility and engineering confidence testing, with responsibility for technology scouting, design validation, risk mitigation, and documentation. You will prototype, run lab-based tests, and ensure device function, safety, and reliability while coordinating with cross-functional teams (engineering, formulation, quality, supply). The position emphasizes design controls, risk management, and design for manufacturability, with accountability for device history files, CAPA/RCA activities, and supporting scale-up and validation. The role is offered as a hybrid position with on-site presence for lab work and prototyping, with occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of device or medical product experience with hands-on experience using CAD tools for device design and running prototype testing.
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific or technical discipline such as chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, or pharmaceutical engineering.
- Experience with design controls, risk management and quality processes used in medical device development.
