Job Summary
Firmware engineer for embedded cameras at VOSKER, responsible for defining architecture of embedded platforms (low-level layers, drivers, and system services), designing interfaces between firmware, hardware and software modules (AI, imaging, networking, security), participating in architecture reviews, documenting embedded architectures, evaluating new components (SoCs, sensors), and developing/integrating firmware across platforms; requires hands-on development, hardware lab validation, performance debugging, and collaboration with hardware, software, AI, and product teams. The role demands strong C and Linux embedded expertise, Yocto or similar Linux distribution familiarity, and deep low-level skills (drivers, protocols, memory management, GPIO/I2C/SPI/UART), with at least 8 years of experience and autonomous, rigorous problem-solving capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of eight (8) years of firmware development experience
- Excellent mastery of the C language in an embedded environment
- Excellent mastery of embedded development under Linux (kernel space)
- Familiarity with Yocto or a custom Linux distribution (image creation, library integration, BSP adaptation)
- Solid experience in low-level development: drivers, protocols, memory management, RTC, GPIO, I2C/SPI/UART, etc.
- Deep knowledge of how microcontrollers, embedded processors, and SoCs operate
- Experience with image sensors or capture systems is a plus
- Ability to work autonomously on a project while collaborating effectively with the team
- Ability to concept, explore, iterate rapidly with hardware
- Solution-oriented with a strong capacity to understand firmware impact on user experience
- Comfort working on existing platforms and integrating code into complex bases
