Job Summary
Conduct functional and technical requirement analysis with business analysts, then design, develop, and maintain applications on z/OS using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL. Execute unit, integration, and non-regression tests while ensuring code quality through established standards and best practices. Resolve production incidents and drive performance optimization and reliability improvements. Maintain updated technical documentation and collaborate closely with development, testing, and production teams to guarantee deliverable quality. Requires 4–5 years of COBOL Mainframe experience in z/OS; banking sector experience is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- 4 to 5 years minimum experience in COBOL Mainframe development
- Mastery of z/OS, COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL environments
- Proven experience in application development, testing, and maintenance activities
- Good knowledge of code quality issues and validation processes
- Ability to analyze technical and functional specifications and translate them into robust solutions
- Experience in writing technical documentation and operation manuals
