Job Summary
Assess individuals receiving services for their hopes and desires, then provide supports that facilitate achievement of personal goals. Support clients in developing community relationships, participating fully in their interests, and utilizing personal advocates while protecting their rights. Provide support for emotional, physical, and medical needs, and assist with day-to-day home operations including housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation. Drive and travel as required, and assist with emergency procedures and personal safety drills. Implement individual plans, document progress notes, and complete incident reports and timesheets accurately. Attend meetings and training as required, and mentor new staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid Drivers License - USA
- Experience working with children or adults (dependent upon population served) with a mental health diagnosis, an intellectual/developmental disability, or substance use disorder
- Sleepover at a residential setting
- Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas
- Drive and travel as required
- Utilize effective judgment when dealing with safety issues, including but not limited to fire safety by conducting drills, inspecting equipment, and practicing safety procedures in the community
