Job Summary

Develop ideas, plans, and procedures for Early Intervention programs and conduct child assessments across cognitive, physical, social, and language domains. Build professional relationships with children and families through home visitations, playgroup facilitation, and therapy session observations. Create evaluation reports, maintain Individualized Family Service Plans, and submit progress notes for each visit. Provide targeted case management and coordinate resources for children under three with disabilities under Part C regulations. Travel 75% of the time within the Las Vegas area, adhering to state and federal policies while managing physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree early childhood, special education, human growth and development, psychology, counseling, social work or a closely related field
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with children from birth to 3 years old
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children with disabilities
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Valid Nevada driver's license
  • Must possess or obtain an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education issued by the Nevada Department of Education or a comparable certification issued by the Nevada Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C office within three years of date of hire or a comparable certification
  • At least one course MUST be completed within the first year of employment
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand
  • Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Must be able to frequently talk or hear
  • Must be able to reach with hands
  • Must be able to sit
  • Must be able to stoop
  • Must be able to kneel
  • Must be able to crouch
  • Must be able to crawl
  • Must have close vision
  • Must be available for at least 75% travel within the service delivery area
  • Must be able to work in Las Vegas area outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, wind, poor air quality, and wet or humid conditions
