Job Summary
Conduct training and mentoring for preschool team members to ensure attainment of basic competency levels in classroom management, teaching techniques, and behavioral modifications. Organize onboarding for new hires, including day-one orientation, skill acquisition materials, and modeling of individualized treatment plans. Lead classroom team meetings, site in-services, and one-on-one coaching sessions while assisting with preschool interviews and daily documentation. Ensure all site policies, licensing requirements, and HIPAA regulations are followed during implementation of the curriculum.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work with children birth to age 21 and families who are at risk
- Basic computer skills which include a working knowledge of keyboarding, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents
- Ability to author routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Travel may be required
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Is familiar with and complies with HIPAA regulations
- Immediately reports health or safety concerns to the Senior Director or Nurse at site
- Complete required hours of continuing education as deemed necessary for licensing and other accreditations
Desired Qualifications
- Child Development Associate Certificate, preferred
- Extensive teaching experience in early childhood education or relative discipline
- Experience teaching adults
