Job Summary

Manage multi-shift steel fabrication and assembly operations, leading frontline supervisors to meet safety, quality, and production goals. Execute master production schedules, perform lean audits and kaizen events, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste. Develop and motivate staff while controlling expenses for raw materials, supplies, and equipment. Utilize analytical reports to gauge plant performance and make data-driven decisions regarding capacity planning and resource utilization. Assist in identifying best practices across sites and prepare for future site leadership roles with full P&L responsibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Associates degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Supervisory or management experience overseeing employees in a number of functional areas in an industrial environment
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost controlling measures within a manufacturing environment
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional business objectives
  • Proven track record in lean manufacturing principles including standard work, continuous improvement, problem resolution and delivery of results positively affecting the bottom line of the organization
  • Ability to travel approximately 10-15%
  • Ability and willingness to relocate as required
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters, Business Administration or Masters of Science in manufacturing, operations, engineering
  • Financial experience including P & L responsibilities
  • Project Management and/or Capital Project experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations as well as state and federal labor standards
  • The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
  • The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
