Job Summary
Developmental Care Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents: two-person, on-campus residential care provided to a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent student-home assignment. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Requires high school diploma or GED, two years married, both spouses aged 27+, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a drug/alcohol-free campus and Judeo-Christian chapel involvement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proven ability to manage household routines and student schedules
- Proficiency in supervising daily routines and excursions
- Willingness to lead devotions and accompany students to Chapel
