Job Summary
Development Test Engineer 1 responsible for planning and leading test design specification tests, creating test plans/schedules, performing tests, and reporting results in alignment with development schedules. Key duties include selecting tests with design engineers, coordinating resources and fixtures, ordering test parts, executing tests per customer requirements, analyzing results to determine root causes, developing countermeasures with design/plant engineers, documenting results, participating in DFMEA and product design reviews, and contributing to preventative maintenance and training. Travel available for a few days with limited notice; work primarily in an office environment with PPE in use where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- B.S.M.E or equivalent degree in a related field
- Experience relative to the position may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Ability to travel for a few days with limited prior notice
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Capable of using basic measurement devices (e.g., force gauge, digital meter, thermometer) and basic hand tools (e.g., soldering)
- Office environment familiarity and following PPE requirements
