Job Summary
Development Specialist - Dallas/Rockwall cultivates, manages and solicits individual, major gifts and corporate donations for The Salvation Army, supporting operating and capital needs. Responsible for planning and executing an aggressive Donor Development program, developing proposals, building and maintaining donor relationships, preparing reports, and coordinating special projects. Requires travel to meet donors, strong communication skills, ability to present to groups, and adherence to Christian principles consistent with the ministry of The Salvation Army.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in liberal arts or related field
- Three years progressively responsible experience demonstrating a record of accomplishment in fund development or related, with prior Raiser’s Edge experience
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (preferred)
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
