Development Project Manager (Q-Systems: Connectivity)

Job Summary
Lead and manage Q-Systems Telecom & Networking design, pre-construction, and construction activities across multiple campuses. Oversee design/implementation budgets, schedules, and status reports while reviewing designs and installations for compliance with system standards and Basis of Documents. Manage multi-phased site development plans to meet time, budget, and quality targets, continuously updating the campus master plan. Evaluate technology pricing proposals, monitor project schedules, and proactively remove obstacles to ensure on-time completion. Serve as the liaison for OAC and low voltage meetings, representing QTS interests and collaborating with internal development and facility operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- 4-8 years of professional experience in technology systems - security, and/or network infrastructure design and/or implementation
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Be able to travel up to 50% of the time
- Average travel anticipated to be every other week for 2-3 days
- US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts
- Direct experience in the construction of data centers, critical medical, industrial, construction, oil and gas, or large-scale technology systems
- Strong knowledge of technology industry standards, procedures, and methodologies
- Advance knowledge of technology systems and their integration into mission-critical environments
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues to leadership or non-engineers
- Project Management or Project Lead experience in large-scale projects
- Basic multidisciplinary knowledge of mission critical systems, design process, pre-construction requirements, and the construction process
- Manage implementation contractors
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
- Must be a capable, proven team player that both fosters and operates well within internal and external team environments
- Able to solve problems at a tactical and functional level
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
