Development Production Technician (DEV Prod Tech)

Job Summary
Support production engineering during development and pre-production phases by building pre-production, qualification, and flight hardware. Assist with transitioning product lines to full rate production, including setup and activation of production lines and development of hardware test setups. Execute rework and recovery efforts on non-conforming hardware while building, repairing, and reworking harnesses for mechanical and electrical assemblies. Maintain HITL, continuous integration, and qualification satellite hardware, and assist with site movements. Provide targeted surge support for critical production or qualification test efforts. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years in manufacturing/mechanical builds, and the ability to lift 25 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces. Candidates must be willing to work all shifts, including nights and weekends, to meet critical deadlines. Experience working with engineers in development environments is preferred, along with proficiency in reading wiring schematics and using Microsoft Office tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical builds, equipment assembly/test OR a bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working in tight spaces
- Must be able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
- Must be willing to work all shifts, over time, and weekends as needed
- Able to read and interpret wiring schematics and assembly drawings
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
