Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of funders to secure general operating and project support funding, conducting prospect research to identify and vet new prospects. Write LOIs and proposals while tracking all communications in shared organizational tools. Collaborate with Content, Finance, and community partners to build project concepts and budgets that address funder priorities. Develop engagement strategies, manage funder recognition, and produce data-infused reports reflecting philanthropic concerns. Contribute to department revenue goals and advance IDEA priorities within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in Development
- 2-4 years of demonstrated success in foundation, corporate, and/or government grant-seeking
- 2-4 years of prospect research experience
- 2-4 years of experience using a CRM system
- Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the Twin Cities Metro area
- report to onsite office a minimum of three days per week
- Ability to travel to locations in the greater metro area
- Occasional travel out of the state
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Development
- 4+ years of demonstrated success in foundation, corporate, and/or government grant-seeking
- Grant seeking experience for public media, education, or the arts/humanities
- Experience working with local and national funders
- 4-7 years of prospect research experience
- 4-7 years of experience using a CRM system
