Job Summary
Development Officer for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio, remote within the Northeast Ohio region. Responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of individual donors and prospects to support fundraising goals, overseeing the full donor lifecycle from identification through stewardship and renewal. Create engagement opportunities, prepare donor proposals and gift requests, and collaborate with staff to communicate program impact. Maintain donor records in the CRM, track activities, and report progress to leadership. Travel locally for meetings and events, with occasional evening/weekend availability. Requires a Bachelor�s degree (preferred) and at least 5 years of fundraising or donor-relations experience; background check and drug test required. The role reports to the Senior Director of Advancement and offers competitive benefits, PTO, and flexible working arrangements; fully remote within the region with in-person meetings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor�s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of fundraising, donor relations, sales, or relationship management experience preferred
- Demonstrated success managing donor or client relationships and meeting revenue goals
- Experience managing a portfolio of donors, prospects, clients, or accounts through a structured relationship management process
- Ability to make direct gift requests and conduct donor visits with professionalism and confidence
- Ability to interpret and communicate program impact, outcome data, and funding priorities in a donor-centered way
- Familiarity with moves management, donor stewardship, annual giving, major gifts, and leadership giving programs preferred
- Ability to travel locally for donor meetings, site visits, and events
- Occasional evening and weekend availability required for donor meetings and organizational events
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Experience using donor databases or CRM systems preferred
- Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test
