Job Summary
Development Officer responsible for managing a portfolio of major gifts, planned giving, and tax credit donors, and for planning and executing fundraising events in the St. Louis region. Lead identification and engagement of new prospective donors, strengthen long-term relationships, and directly solicit financial contributions to support mission-driven initiatives. Provide full project management for events (timelines, budgets, logistics, outcomes), coordinate contracts related to events and development activities, and guide internal teams on event execution and donor engagement strategies. Develop and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, sponsors, and vendors; ensure events meet revenue goals; and drive impact for the organization across the St. Louis community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience asking for financial support from diverse constituencies
- Knowledge of major gift solicitation
- Experience managing fundraising events, projects, budgets, and vendor contracts
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
