Job Summary
Development Officer position focused on Donor Stewardship, Cultivation, and Annual Giving for Beacon Education, supporting GLOW and Spark Academy. Responsible for managing annual giving and mid-level donor portfolios, developing stewardship plans, coordinating donor communications, creating cultivation strategies, supporting donor proposals and reports, tracking donor interactions in the donor database, coordinating segmentation and targeted communication, monitoring fundraising progress, and collaborating on donor communications and storytelling. Also handles community engagement and events, partnership development, and volunteer/board support, with emphasis on professional donor relations, event planning, and donor-facing communications. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years fundraising/donor relations experience, donor-management system proficiency, strong written/verbal communication, organization, drive license, and background check clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, annual giving, or nonprofit development.
- Experience with donor management/database systems.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work professionally with donors, volunteers, community leaders, and external stakeholders.
- Competency with Microsoft Office, donor databases, and digital communication tools.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must pass a nationwide criminal history and background check.
