Job Summary
Develop and implement strategies for the Foundation's Annual Giving Membership program ($1,000-$9,999 gifts) and Special Event programs (Annual Gala, Golf Tournament), including Membership, Annual Gala, and stewardship events. Work closely with the Chief Development Officer and Foundation staff to apply system-wide best practices. Essential duties include identifying, researching, and soliciting gift sources to meet budgeted goals; coordinating cultivation/campaign events (invitations, catering, day-of execution); performing patient visits as needed with the lead fundraiser; ensuring donor recognition across annual, lifetime, and employee giving; and supporting logistics for revenue-producing events such as Gala and Golf Tournament. Qualifications include 3 years in fund development (healthcare setting preferred), proposal writing, donor solicitation, and strong English communication; MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint proficiency; Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred experience with volunteers and interaction with board members and Sharp administrative staff. Sharp HealthCare is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- 3 Years experience in fund development (preferably in a health care setting)
- Experience with planning and organizing fund-raising activities
- Experience in writing proposals to donors
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent English usage and writing skills
- Driver's License - CA - REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience in annual fund raising may substitute)
