Development Officer

External-facing Development Officer responsible for increasing philanthropic support among individual, corporate, and faith/community donors in the assigned Virginia territory; cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through meetings and written communications; manage a portfolio, input donor interactions in the donor database, and contribute to fundraising strategies and events. Travel throughout the territory (20-30%) is required. Collaborates with the Director of Fund Development and Fundraising Manager to identify grant opportunities and support program funding. Proficient in Microsoft Office and donor database systems; strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills; engages schools, faith groups, corporations, and community groups to market CCC programs and secure financial and in-kind support; supports community marketing plans and collects impact stories.
