Job Summary
Prepare faces, drill load, blast drift/ramp rounds, and services while operating scoop trams, jumbo drills, and mechanized bolters. Perform pre-operational inspections on jacklegs and stopers, inspect headings for compliance with codes and regulations, and scale loose rocks. Assist with mechanical installations, maintenance of air, water, and ventilation, and ground support duties. Participate in LHD operation and service advances as required. Conduct work according to company policies within a safety-conscious environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000 to U0012) or equivalent provincial designation
- Minimum of 2 years underground development experience required
- Must be open to working at any of the underground mine sites that Technica operates at
- Candidates are required to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment

- Accreditation in the following specialty modules considered an asset: U0018: Operate Mechanized Rock Bolter
- Accreditation in the following specialty modules considered an asset: U0020: Perform Trackless Haulage- Operate Scoop Tram- Remote Control
- Accreditation in the following specialty modules considered an asset: U0028: Operate Scissor Life
- Accreditation in the following specialty modules considered an asset: U0068: Haulage Trackless- Operate Scoop Tram
- Accreditation in the following specialty modules considered an asset: U0089- Operate Mechanized Jumbo Drill
- Experience with Epiroc Jumbo's and MacLean Bolters and Cat Scoops is preferred
- Previous experience using a jackleg and stoper considered an asset
