Job Summary
Development Manager responsible for all aspects of assigned, low-rise, mid-rise, and redevelopment/infill residential development projects, including visioning, planning approvals, budgeting, scheduling, and leasing coordination. Manages national scope of development applications (official plan amendments, zoning by-law amendments, committee of adjustment, plan of condominium, and related submissions), liaises with consultants, municipal staff, politicians, neighbours, and other stakeholders to obtain planning approvals aligned with budget and schedule. Oversees interpretation of technical documents, management of consultant teams, infrastructure construction for greenfield sites, preparation of site and building drawings, and financial analysis (pro‐formas) to inform product offerings and leasing decisions. Requires Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of real estate development experience; strong analytical and communication skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; adaptable, proactive, and collaborative; certifications such as CIP, OAA, PMP, or LEED AP are assets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g. Planning, Engineering, Architecture)
- minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in Real Estate development
- Residential experience required
- Effective communicator with written and verbal skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and manage multiple projects
- Independent proactive self-starter with ability to meet deadlines
- Team-oriented and positive attitude
- Asset: CIP, OAA, PMP or LEED AP certification
