Job Summary
Create ways to find new donors, conduct research and vetting of potential prospects, and prepare fundraising proposals to meet with donors. Cultivate existing relationships by engaging donors in school openings, program events, and impact reports, while accompanying leadership on major gift meetings. Plan and execute the Annual Storybook Gala, including securing sponsors, managing auction procurement, orchestrating event logistics, and reconciling expenditure reports. Update donor databases, support cross-departmental fundraising strategies, and pull data to track campaign performance. Work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends, reporting to the Director of Development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in development, fundraising, event planning, or equivalent position
- College Degree
- Proven ability to interact effectively with the community and develop relationships with local businesses and organizations
- Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written formats
- Use of a reliable personal vehicle, valid auto insurance, and a valid driver's license
- Valid Nevada State Drivers' License

- Obtain the Nevada State Driving Record within 30 days
- Ability to comply with the Company Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crawl/and push/pull file cabinet drawers
- Must be capable of identifying and evaluating information displayed on computer screens, in written reports, and documentation
- Ability to record precise written and electronic messages and reports
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to distinguish letters or symbols and have eye/hand coordination
- Must be able to remain stationary when in the office
- Must articulate concepts and ideas clearly, concisely, and accurately
- Must assess problems, provide solutions, and use good judgment
- Must be available for occasional evenings and weekends
- Must be able to travel within the local area to the office and business locations
- Must be able to operate a vehicle
- Must be able to be exposed to weather conditions, traveling to and from buildings, and operating a vehicle
- Must be able to be exposed to excessive heat, wet and/or humid outside conditions
- Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels
- Must be able to work in an office, warehouse, and/or school setting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with a donor database structure program, DonorView/Blackbaud preferred
