Job Summary
Review existing development plans, manage project schedules and costs, and lead procurement activities and contract management processes. Coordinate with contractors, negotiate terms, and engage government authorities and local communities to ensure successful project delivery. Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for project improvement and business growth. This onshore wind development manager supports Turner & Townsend's Energy & Natural Resources Division across Asia, leveraging deep expertise in CAPEX and sustaining capital spend to drive strategic goals for renewable power projects.
Required Qualifications
- Experience and credibility in the onshore wind project
- Existing knowledge of, and relationships with, both national and international investing clients
- Understanding of their ongoing investment portfolio, both in CAPEX and sustaining capital spend
- Track record holding senior roles on complex projects, in onshore wind or similarly complex asset classes
- Technical understanding of the services that will be offered to clients (Cost Management, Project Controls, Contract Management, Procurement Management, Risk Management, Project Management, etc)
- Act as an inspirational leader with a strategic and forward-thinking mindset
- Possess an established reputation and network within Japan's onshore wind sector
- Demonstrate strong expertise in procurement and contract management
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, industry partners, and cross-functional teams
- Act as a collaborative team player and maintain a strong presence within the business
- Challenge conventional approaches and drive continuous improvement through innovative thinking
