Job Summary
Lead development activities from feasibility through predevelopment and entitlement, coordinating a team of external consultants (civil engineers, architects, land use attorneys, environmental specialists) to secure permits, approvals, and high-quality applications. Manage and review civil engineering plans, drainage and traffic studies, and ensure regulatory compliance. Represent NorthPoint in public hearings and meetings with planning commissions and city councils. Oversee contracted vendors and an external project team to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Collaborate across leasing, finance, property management, accounting, and shared services; track development budgets, predevelopment pro formas, partner structures, land closings, and debt closings. Develop and maintain detailed development schedules and milestone reporting; provide timely feedback to leasing to support RFP responses and tenant pursuits. Travel as required; maintain relationships with tenants and brokers; demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and an energetic, resourceful, hands-on approach.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Real Estate
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant position
- Strong understanding of land entitlement process, zoning, subdivision, due diligence, plan development, and infrastructure coordination
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel as required to support project and business needs
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is an asset but not required
