Job Summary
Own the technical deliverables and quality of the team's work on websites, emails, banner ads, IVAs, and custom sales tools. Mentor junior developers to advance their expertise while guiding the group toward simple, pragmatic solutions for complex problems. Collaborate with solutions architects to develop back-end applications supporting front-end needs and work alongside the team as a lead full-stack developer. Manage server environments, service SLAs, and required technical project documentation. Conduct security audits to identify areas for improvement and supervise system modifications. Drive development process improvements, ensure adherence to standards through code reviews, and create end goals for the team. Represent the development team in Digital Leadership discussions to influence process needs, tools, and protocols. Conduct performance reviews and align expectations with internal tech teams.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional web and application development experience that leverage both front and back end technology
- 2+ years of experience managing a team
- Experience working in an agency environment
- Ability to lead within all aspects of a project, from planning to deployment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues with non-technical team members
- Experience with system design and architecture
- Ability to recognize best practices within multiple programming environments
- Experience with version control systems (Git, etc.) and supporting platforms (BitBucket, etc.)
- Proven self-starter that has managed projects in isolation
- Expert level knowledge of the front-end technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Proficiency in at least one relevant and globally supported front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Proficiency in multiple back-end programming languages such as PHP, Python, or .NET
- Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, MS SQL and oracle
- A solid understanding of the challenges associated with developing front-end applications targeted at multiple client devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on tight deadlines in a high-paced environment
