Job Summary
Development Intern will support the Real Estate Department with activities related to the creation and preservation of affordable housing in Clark County. The intern will assist with coordination of third-party services (architectural, environmental, construction, legal, appraisal, and market study), preparation of development budgets/proformas and funding applications, development of community engagement activities, and coordination of planning, zoning, environmental, and permit approval processes. The role includes collecting and organizing historical development documents from past VHA projects. Pay is $20 per hour for a part-time schedule of 18 hours per week, with at least 12 hours based in the VHA office in Downtown Vancouver; internship start date is flexible and hours fall between 8:00 am–5:30 pm, Monday–Friday. Educational focus areas include Urban Planning, Real Estate, Real Estate Development, Public Administration, or Public Policy, with completion of at least one year of relevant coursework preferred.
