Job Summary
Development Intern will assist Hand to Hold’s development team on event planning and coordination for the organization’s largest local events, organize in-kind donation solicitations and pickups, donor stewardship, and research potential corporate sponsors. Top candidates are college students pursuing degrees in Business, Non-Profit Management, Hospitality, Communications, or Marketing, with an interest in nonprofit fundraising and donor relations. The internship is unpaid and offers eligible course credit, requiring 10+ hours per week with a flexible schedule and supervision from Hand to Hold Development leadership. The program is hybrid (in-office and remote) with potential travel to the Austin area; focus areas include nonprofit event management, in-kind donations, nonprofit fundraising, and event coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Participating in a relevant college degree program
- Interest in nonprofit fundraising and donor relations
- Experience or interest in nonprofit event management, in-kind donations, and donor stewardship
- Ability to work 10+ hours per week
