Development Infrastructure Engineer (Civil)

Job Summary
Assist with the design of storm and foul drainage networks for residential, commercial, and industrial developments. Support flood risk assessments, site inspections, and the preparation of technical reports. Prepare design drawings in 2D and 3D and work alongside CAD technicians as part of project teams. Help manage project correspondence and support project cost and programme tracking. Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams under the guidance of senior engineers. This role supports the design and delivery of civil engineering infrastructure projects across Ireland and the U.K., covering drainage, highways, flood risk, and water infrastructure from feasibility through detailed design.
Required Qualifications
- Degree-qualified Civil Engineer
- working towards Chartered Engineer status
- Experience or interest in drainage networks
- Experience or interest in SuDS
- Experience or interest in pumping stations
- Experience or interest in water distribution
- Experience or interest in flow control systems
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Familiarity with Civil 3D
- Familiarity with Revit
- Familiarity with drainage modelling software (e.g. WinDes or MicroDrainage)
- Basic understanding of road and pavement design
- Basic understanding of flood risk
- Basic understanding of relevant approval processes (e.g. Section 50)
- Must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
