Job Summary
Consult franchisees, architects, and contractors throughout the construction process to ensure stores are built effectively, efficiently, and within budget. Assist with General Contractor bidding, develop delivery schedules, and manage submittals, permits, and approvals. Coordinate weekly project meetings, report milestones to stakeholders, and interpret blueprints to resolve construction conflicts. Oversee production and facilities needs across open locations while partnering with Operations and Supply Chain to align buildouts with operational planning. Requires 1-3 years of commercial construction experience, proficiency in Smartsheet, and ability to work independently with 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of commercial construction experience as an assistant project manager, project engineer, field engineer or superintendent
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and MEP documents
- Working knowledge of permitting, inspections and jurisdictional approval processes
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
- Demonstrated organization and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail within a fast-paced environment
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel and project scheduling tools
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel 25%
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with franchised restaurant or QSR construction and franchisor design/approval processes
- Remodel / reimage experience in occupied, operating locations — phasing, night/off-hours work and hard reopening dates
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite and construction management platforms (e.g., Procore)
