Job Summary
Design and manufacture bespoke fixturing and work-holding solutions to support measurement and manufacturing processes for high-volume consumer electronics production. Collaborate with the team to deliver key customer measurement and process control solutions, managing projects from CAD design through in-house manufacturing, assembly, and solution supply. Maintain the in-house development area to a high standard while assessing areas for improvement to ensure dynamic fixturing supply during tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Educated to an HNC/HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline, a served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in CAD/CAM
- A good understanding of GD&T
- A methodical approach to problem-solving
- A high level of manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to work with stakeholders across the business
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in the design and implementation of simple automation systems
- Mechanical design experience of engineering systems
- Design for manufacture (DFM) principles
- Siemens NX
