Job Summary
Develop, code, debug, and maintain applications that integrate with industrial platforms and databases, delivering medium-to-high complexity development tasks as part of a collaborative team. Design data models to support real-time operational needs and analytics, maintain SQL Server and MySQL-backed features, perform unit/integration testing, and participate in peer code reviews. Collaborate with IT to resolve incidents and improve system reliability, while also supporting hardware-related issues and plant-floor interfaces. Ingest and query data from Ignition gateways, historians, and event-driven datasets; design indexing and schema strategies for high-volume industrial data; mentor less-experienced developers and provide feedback on code. Maintain documentation of logic, changes, testing, and corrections, and ensure security and compliance within production environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative or engineering field
- 1+ year of relevant or practical software development experience
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages or software development tools
- Experience with SQL Server and MySQL in production environments
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts, DevOps, CI/CD, and version control
- Understanding of industrial data systems, hardware-integrated applications, or plant-floor technologies
- Technical writing and diagramming skills
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration, problem-solving, initiative, prioritization
- Leadership through mentoring and influence without authority
