Development Engineer for Functional Safety

Job Summary
Support development of safe critical electronic control functions for e-powertrain, chassis, and ADAS under ISO26262 standards. Coordinate customer requirements, implement concepts, and optimize existing functional models using a model-based development approach. Manage planning and supervision of all functional safety process activities, including documentation, risk assessments, and safety analyses such as HARA and FMEA. Represent functional safety and cybersecurity internally and toward customers while supporting new technology development. Requires degree in engineering, experience with Matlab/Simulink, and proficiency in ISO 26262. Located in San Sebastián, Spain.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, vehicle technology, physics, computer science or similar
- Basic Experience in field of control engineering and model-based development (Matlab/Simulink, SySML or similar)
- Familiar with development processes in the automotive sector as well as Functional Safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508 or similar)
- Flexible, proactive, structured, and detail-oriented working style
- Strong communication and team-working skills
- Proficient English and Spanish language knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- Enthusiasm for mobility development and technical innovation as well as interest in functional safety or automotive cybersecurity and automated driving technologies
- German is a big plus
