Job Summary
Director of Development will lead fundraising efforts for the YWCA of Greater Flint, guiding major donor fundraising, grant writing, events planning, and strategic communications. Responsibilities include partnering with the CEO and program teams, expanding the development team, managing donor cultivation and communications, securing funding from corporate partners, foundations, and government sources, maintaining donor databases and leveraging fundraising technology, increasing visibility through social media and PR, coordinating annual fundraisers and advocacy events, articulating value propositions to external audiences, and overseeing the Development Office while aligning with the organization’s mission and growth plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience as a development professional
- Experience supervising and cultivating teams
- Experience in foundation research and grant writing
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and digital communication skills
- Experience with CRM and donor technology
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and climb stairs
- Criminal background check and Central Registry clearance required
