Development Director - QA

Job Summary
Lead and scale Scopely's QA program across multiple platforms and games; manage DevQA and cross-functional collaboration; define QA best practices across the full development lifecycle from concept to live Ops; build and mentor QA leaders and teams; drive quality metrics and continuous improvement; explore AI-driven QA solutions; coordinate with internal game teams and external developers; communicate issues, risks, and successes to stakeholders; influence cross-functional partners to prioritize quality in product development.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years quality assurance professional
- 4+ years management experience in leading QA teams and groups
- Proven experience leading DevQA
- Proven experience of working within a development game team
- Experience in building a QA and DevQA organization that is responsible for end-to-end validation for a critical system or application
- Deep ability to influence change that achieves exceptional product quality
- Deep understanding of cross platform and multiplatform titles (mobile, PC, Consoles)
- Experience working on AAA titles
- Experience in working with remote teams and working with a cross functional team that is distributed around the globe
- Deep cultural awareness and ability to work with varied teams across the globe
- Excellent written/verbal communication in English, planning, implementation, project/ people management, time management, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure of hard deadlines
- Demonstrated knowledge of software testing, software QA processes, software development processes, change management and process improvement
- Demonstrated ability to influence those not directly in your reporting structure, working to develop and maintain strong, effective relationships across the organization
- Strong understanding of software development (SDLC) practices & nomenclature
- Deep understanding of quality assurance techniques, frameworks and methodologies
- Flexible and dynamic – quickly adapt to changing needs of the business.
- Business awareness - the ability to view situations from a business perspective.
- Strong meeting organization and facilitation skills.
