Job Summary
The Development Director is responsible for leading fundraising efforts at PPAZ, including strategizing and executing ambitious plans to significantly increase revenue. The role involves overseeing a fundraising, marketing, and organizing team, managing various fundraising initiatives such as major giving and capital campaigns. The director will work closely with executive leadership to foster collaboration and promote a culture of philanthropy within the organization. Essential qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, at least seven years of experience in non-profit fundraising, and strong relationship-building capabilities with a focus on equity and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years’ experience in non-profit fundraising
- Proven ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, and close six-figure gifts from individuals
- Passionate commitment to PPAZ’s mission
- Polished presentation skills and strong writing skills
- Well-networked in Arizona
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Certified Fundraising Executive Credentials (CFRE)
- Solid understanding of donor database/development software
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Ability to utilize social media and other media to communicate with potential donors
