Job Summary
Development Director collaborates with the Executive Director and volunteer leaders to execute an annual plan addressing arthritis community needs in the assigned market, driving revenue through 2-3 assigned special events (e.g., Walk to Cure Arthritis, Jingle Bell Run, Gala) and other fundraising initiatives; recruits and develops volunteer committees, grows a diverse volunteer pipeline, cultivates relationships with corporate partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders; oversees event logistics and promotion, and contributes to a culture of philanthropy and market excellence. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 3 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, strong stewardship and partnership-building, and ability to translate the Arthritis Foundation mission into impactful community programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 3 years of nonprofit fundraising or related experience
- Proficiency in applying fundraising and relationship-building techniques
- Experience managing portfolio of revenue generation activities including direct execution of special event fundraising and corporate/foundation support
